Our management team has a proven track record of successfully launching three UK student platforms, including Amro, Future Generation, and Tribe. Since our establishment in 2018, we have brought forward over 4,000 student beds in London and over 2,000 more in our pipeline.

Our leadership team has a long track record of success, having overseen the acquisition, planning, construction, and operations stages of over 8,000 purpose-built student accommodation, co-living, and build-to-rent units in the UK. Our team of experts are experienced in identifying great development sites, adding value through design and planning, and optimising returns during the operational phase, ensuring the success of every project in the long term.
Managing Director
Ed Fisher
Ed is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in delivering successful property development projects. He co-founded Home Is and has been instrumental in building the pipeline across all sectors. Prior to joining Home Is, Ed worked in Barclays Structured Finance, where he delivered over £500m of debt and private equity funding to PBSA and residential developers from 2007 to 2011. He then held senior positions as Investment Director of BTR and PBSA developer and operator Amro Real Estate from 2011 to 2016 and was CEO of PBSA platform Future Generation from 2016 to 2019. Ed's wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry ensure that Home Is is well-positioned to deliver exceptional results.

Liza Samoriz
Liza is the founder of Home Is and brings a diverse background in real estate, operations, and financial services. Before establishing Home Is, she worked in the investment banking division of HSBC, where she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of client due diligence and compliance technology, as well as delivering £650m of debt funding to clients. Liza previously led operational and business improvement projects across multiple sectors, developing expertise in regulatory frameworks, risk management, and commercial strategy. Her broad experience and insight ensure that Home Is delivers healthy, high-quality homes and remains at the forefront of innovation in the living sector.
